Appointing a security provider is, at its core, a de-risking decision. The right questions surface long before a contract is signed — and the answers reveal whether you are buying guards, or buying accountability.
Ask for the provider's licence number, regulator, and proof of insurance in writing. An established partner has these ready; a commodity vendor offers them “on request.” In Bahrain, look for a company licensed under the Ministry of Interior, with documented vetting and PDPL-aligned data handling.
A signature on a sheet is not evidence. Ask how attendance, patrols, and incidents are recorded — and whether you can see them. Geofenced check-ins, time-stamped patrol verification, and photo-documented incident reports turn intangible trust into audit-ready proof.
Officer turnover, supervision ratios, and escalation procedures matter more than headcount. Ask who supervises the supervisors, and how quickly an exception reaches a decision-maker at any hour.
The providers worth shortlisting answer all of this without hesitation — in writing. That willingness to be measured is, itself, the strongest signal of the partner you are about to appoint.
